Le dépassement de toute représentation dans le De Icona

Set as an analysis of the new status of the representation in Nicholas of Cusa΄s view, this article starts by description of the historical and doctrinal context in order to clarify the controversies of the Docta ignorantia in the XVth century thinking. Then, it continues by pointing the accomplishment of the unity of the opposites by the simple eternity. Finally, by explaining Cusanus΄ method for contemplating the icon that provides the passage to infinity through the over passing the totalizing human concept to that mere concept contemplated in God.
